Latest Project Release: CopyStack (Desktop Application)

My latest project release is a desktop application. This tool helps you copy more than one item into your system clipboard. It's in alpha, so please send long bug reports and feature requests.

CopyStack provides the ability to stash a list of copied items from the system clipboard. This utility app saves a list of items that were saved by you by applying regular copy functionality. In this alpha release, you are limited to 5 clipboard items. It is a handy tool for multiple copying and single pasting. To copy an item to your clipboard within any application you can press command+c or right-click your mouse and click “copy”. Copy Stack will pull your recent copy and stash it into a buffer. When you’re ready to paste an item from your stack, apply the shortcut key shift+alt and the number of the stash item you want to paste. Lates Project Release: Z2wear.com

Launched mini e-commerce site for Washington D.C. based Z^2 Wear Clothing. One of the most exciting aspects of doing this project was having an opportunity to design again. These days as a RIA Developer, I spend most of my time programming and solving theoretical problems. It was refreshing when I was asked to design Z2wear.com. At first I wasn't really interested in designing, but some how I was inspired by the funky clothes.

Another great opportunity was having the ability to use Ruby's light-weight web development library Sinatra. It was quite easy to learn the language and fast to get up and running. The site also uses jQuery and CSS for its interaction and styling. As for the data, it's all stored via SQlite. Checkout the site, let me know what you think. It was fun to make!

Project: Amtraktoparks.com

I lead the technical development for Amtraktoparks.com. This was an amazing project to work on. We used Python/Django for the Content Management System; Flex 4.0 for the front-end development; pyAMF for the data communication; Adobe Catalyst and Flash CS4 for the animations and component skinning.

Early October 2009 I lead the development aspect of the AFL website. The site is privatly accessed by members only. I don't have a public link to give you.

Latest Project Release: Make Magazine's Elements of Humanity

My friends at Fake-up hired me on this latest project. This has probably been the most complicated site I have done up-to-date. Here is a break down and some slide shows of elementsofhumanity.com. Fake-up did a great job on the art direction while my focus was on the technology.

Technology & API Services

Elements of Humanity has a robust Content Management System that facilitates user driven data as well as overall site media essentials.

We built the CMS with Django framework. The Flash and iPhone web app and dynamic banners pull data via Adobe ActionScript Messaging Format - AMF. This approached helped us seamlessly integrate all platforms to a central data server.

Highlighted technologies:

Front-end (ActionScript 3.0, jQuery, CSS, xHTML)
Utilized Flash Cookies for unique user session handling

SEO, Metrics & AD Services

The site heavily implements Google Analytics via their GA Flash and JavaScript API. Make can easily track all user interaction, including the Apple iPhone Web Application version. Elements of Humanity has dynamic deep linking which facilitates SEO compliances with Flash content.

Dynamic Banner:
An important aspect to Elements of Humanity’s dynamic banner was to feature selective Experts via an Ad Served banner. By creating a banner that can feed data from the CMS - We were able to successfully accomplish this.
